Spring 2008
Dear Prayer Partner,
Greetings from Tallahassee, Florida! Our Lord is gracious to us and we enjoy His blessings of good health and answered prayer every day.
The Lord blessed us in so many ways since last we wrote to you. Thanks so much for your prayers and support. Somehow we know that He hears the prayers of His people.
We had evangelist Randy Chovan here for revival the first week in January and the Lord really blessed. The theme was “Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?” Psalm 85:6
Our first quarterly business meeting was in January. We were able to take on another missionary for monthly support.
Walter has been in two missions conferences and shared the work with the brethren in Zephyrhills and Brooksville, Florida. Much good feedback and encouragement was given, especially concerning our building efforts. New contacts were given as well.
Isn’t it just like the Lord to give you a shot in the arm just when you need it? On the last Sunday in February , 5 ladies and 1 young boy came forward to accept our Lord as Savior. These are ladies that live in the neighborhood where the church is located. We have since done follow up and hope to get these dear ones in Bible study and under good sound teaching. Please pray that these new believers will grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord. Our visitation teams have been faithful and the Lord is honoring that.
WE are excited about VBS this summer and have set the date for June 9-13. This will be the first year that we do VBS on our own and we are excited. Please pray for us as we prepare for the harvest of young ones that will come to know our great God as Savior.
Building Project News: Thank you for praying and giving to this effort. Our goal hasn’t yet been reached but we are prayerfully going ahead with the scheduled time for breaking ground in the fall. Martin Eaton of Baptist Builders will be here the first week in April along with Ken and Linda Stutzman to go over the final architectural plans and hopefully begin the scheduling. We are excited about the faithfulness of God and His people and what His people can do when their hearts are tuned to this gentle leading. Thank you for faithfully praying for us. It is still our hope that God, through His people, will fully fund our building project. Would you pray with us concerning this?
Come this March 19, I will have been married to Bev for 2 years. Oh me and ooh my!
