Dear Prayer Partners,

There are angels singing again in heaven for another soul being saved, and taken from the grip of Satan and his world!!

We just had the privilege again in this country of Italy where God has called us to, to spread the good news of the Gospel of Christ, to lead another soul to the Kingdom of Heaven and that means another soul that gets credited to your account too!!!

At 5:45 pm our time (12:45 pm your time EST) we had the privilege to pray with Mirko Saverino. It was a matter of picking fruit from the tree! He was ripe!

About 3 weeks ago, I had the privilege to meet Mirko through one of our believers at our church. He has been sharing with him since Christmas when he tried to bring him a “girly” calendar and told him that they weren’t needed in his place of business. Mirko is 31 years old and a salesman, and when he heard that from Vito, he started asking questions about what Vito believed.

So about 3 weeks ago, Vito brought Mirko into our youth center to have him meet me. I was able to take him around the church and was able to share my testimony with him. But before he left, I asked him if he had a Bible to read, to which he said no. So we have Bibles in the church to give away, so I immediately gave him a Bible and showed him where to begin to read in John. I also told him to not to believe what I had been telling him but to read for himself in the Word of God because there was where we find the truth.

After that meeting he came to church for service. He was totally taken a back with what he experienced and realized that there was big difference between us and the catholic church! Before leaving he told me that he would come by and see me again the next Wednesday. So last Wednesday he came by and we spent about an hour in the Word looking at different verses and I was answering his questions. I told him then that all he had to do was pray and ask the Lord to save him from his sins.

So he left because he had to get back to work. I had seen his eyes well up with tears when we were talking. This past Sunday he came again to service. This past Sunday I preached on Proverbs 4:23 and guarding our hearts because everything came from there. We can either fill our hearts with the fast foods in this world which don’t do anything for us or we can eat from the Word of God and fill our hearts. (you have to talk to Italians in a language they understand – their stomachs!)

Well he had to leave right after the service was over, but he told me today that he was crying on the way home. He has been having a hunger for the Word and today he came back again to the youth center carrying his Bible and having many questions to answer. He is already in chapter 7 or 8 in John. So we sat down and spent about 1 ½ hours in the Word looking at different things.

Finally I told him again that to be saved all he had to do was pray and ask the Lord to forgive him and to save him and to come into his life. So I said to him “do you want to do that?” To which he said “yes I want to be saved and make Christ my personal Savior!” So I prayed and he followed me and when he came out the prayer he had tears in his eyes and he said I know that I am saved! It was truly a special moment!

He immediately called Vito to tell him what he did, and then called I called Lori and had him tell her. He also said that he had many friends that he needed to share this with and also his parents. He is already talking about being baptized this coming fall when we hold another baptism service!

So PTL another soul has been saved which now brings the total to 39 souls saved in these years that we have been here! Pray for Mirko and the attacks that will come in these days as he begins his new walk with the Lord!

Thank you again for your faithfulness to us and for making this all possible!! There is nothing better in this world then to see the eyes of joy from a heart that has been saved!!
